Anupam Recording Media was envisioned and dreamt of by a passionate film lover Md. Anwar Hossain from a small shop situated in the crowded wholesale marketplace of Patuatuli in Old Dhaka, the hub of all the Disc Record, Cassette, CD, VCD, DVD and Digital platform music industry. A small step had found strong wings. Initially, he was an individual trader of film & music items for different production houses, later he founded ‘Anupam Recording Media’ and started his own production house.

In 1984, Md. Anwar Hossain started trading Records and LPs (Long Playing Phonograph Records) for two of the biggest companies in Bangladesh being a sole agent for Dhaka Record & Ipsha Record. In course of time, Anupam has become the biggest and mightiest archive for Bangladeshi film songs.
With the change of distribution channels due to new technology and medium, Anupam has also been shifting its platforms. Encouraged by its remarkable audience and phenomenal responses, Anupam has updated its capacity and stores. Now Anupam is dealing with the highest no of digital audiences within this industry and recreating, reprising old songs, and introducing new talents.
